  I bought an ebony shaving brush as a birthday present for my son. Royal Mail showed that it had been delivered to his apartment block, but it seemed to have vanished, despite leaving enquiries with neighbours. The response from English Shaving Company was exemplary, sending a replacement to his place of work immediately. As it happens, the day he received it, the original item was also delivered by a neighbour - and was subsequently returned with thanks to English Shaving. Great email interactions at all stages.Five star customer service.

  On January 7, 2017, I placed an order for a ‘Kent BK8 Shaving Brush’ & an ‘Edwin Jagger Super Travel Shaving Brush’. I paid £101.13 (CA$166.24) by my credit card. On January 10, I asked the seller if the merchandise had been shipped, only to be told, “Your order has been delayed as the travel brushes are made to order.” When I placed the order there was no indication in the company website that any of the items had to be back-ordered. I cancelled the order. On January 11, my credit card was credited for CA$161.51. Because of the exchange rate variation, I lost CA$4.73.
  
  It has become a trend with some English merchants to sell items they don’t have in stock. Before placing an order with this company, make sure they have the merchandise in stock.
